How To Look Like a Star

Celebrities and the stars just look so effortless, don’t they? No matter what they wear, it seems to work, and they start new movements and trends that you would have never thought of. For the fashion-conscious among us (which is likely everybody), it can make you feel a little bad. No matter what you do, you can never seem to match the styles of the stars.

However, not all hope is lost. For one, you don’t have the privilege of a stylist to tell you what does and doesn’t work. You also don’t have the cash to splash on outfit after outfit in search of the perfect piece. Instead, you’ve got to make do with what you can. This doesn’t mean you can’t still look like a star, though.

Find Clothes that Suit Your Body Type

The problem with trying to match the looks of the stars is that most of the time, you don’t share the body type. You work full time, you’ve got kids to look after and meals to make; you can’t afford a personal trainer to work out with twice a day.

There are ways to overcome this, though. While you can’t spend every day at the gym (and why would you want to, anyway?), you can instead find clothes that suit your body type. Shopping at places such as widewidths.com and similar shops that understand how a real woman looks will help you pull off outfits that you thought were impossible.

Reuse, Recycle, Refresh

Browsing the racks at thrift stores or pilfering through the back of your mom’s closet is a superb, cheap, and eco-friendly way to find new clothes without spending too much. Likewise, if you’ve got a wardrobe full of clothes you know you won’t wear then learning to sew and embroider can give them a new lease of life. You don’t need new clothes every season, and instead, you can find stuff that’s new to you, if not to the rest of the world.

Become a Sales Vulture

If you don’t mind wearing last season’s clothes, then being first in line for sales can fill your closet with new clothes for a fraction of the price. You can mix and match them with other outfits, and if you’ve mastered the art of sewing, you can alter them to suit your style. Remember, some looks never go out of fashion.

Go Your Own Way

Part of looking like a star is doing something that’s not been done before. Consider how many premieres you have seen where celebs look like nothing you’ve ever seen before. Now realize you can do that too.

Choosing your own style is the mark of a star. You don’t follow trends, you set the trends, and as the sooner you embrace this and pick the outfits you want to wear instead of worrying what everyone else is wearing you’ll feel liberated and much more like a star than you did before.

Into Orbit

Everyone wants to look good when they step out of the house, but not everyone looks good the same way. Instead, it’s all about individuality and making a statement that’s not been made before. Just be prepared for people to ask for your autograph as you strut down the sidewalk.

Xoxo,
