Witch Hazel
If you have ever looked in the drug store for an acne treatment you will have likely seen Witch Hazel as a big component in these drinks. The reason why this is used for the skin is that it is full of tannins which have antibacterial properties, and it also has a lot of antioxidants inside. It is used often to treat a range of skin issues such as acne, infection, and eczema, and this is why many products contain it. To use witch hazel for the skin, you can soak 1 tablespoon hazel bark in a pan of 1 cup water for 30 minutes. Bring to a boil and then cook for another 15 minutes. Let cool and store in a jar. Apply to the skin with a cotton pad once a day for the best results.
