Swimsuits That Accentuate Your Curves
The Magic of Monokinis and Athletic Bikinis
Swimsuits For Itty Bitty Titties and Tiny Butts
As a girl part of the “itty bitty titty committee”, I find it difficult to shop for swimsuits that won’t hide or flatten my boobs and butt. Sitting at 5”3 and being “blessed” with a genetically stick-like figure, I’ve always had to work my ass off (literally) at the gym with plenty of squats and chest presses so I could make it appear like I had womanly assets.
Then came my herniated disc and back pain (which I have repeated so many times. If you’ve been following along, you know that I am an injured bird). Because of this, I could not work out, so I relied on things like [COOLSCULPTING] to keep my belly flat, and the magic of fashion to help accentuate my otherwise lack of curves.
And because it is August and bathing suit sales are going on, there is still one more month to enjoy the best swimsuits to make ya look SEXY!
Invest in Monokinis with Cutouts
This was my first time ever trying on a monkini. At first, I found the suit in a pile of samples at a PR agency, and it honestly looked SO skimpy because it was all tangled like spaghetti. I put it down at first, until someone at the agency told me what it was and how to wear it. Because I loved the pattern, I decided to give it a try. As soon as I put it on, I was so surprised with how well it fit my body!
The monokini was basically like a bikini but there was an extra piece of fabric holding the top and bottom together. And why is this good for curves? Well, that one piece “hides” the curve on one side of your body, so ALL EYES go to the OTHER side of your body, therefore bringing attention to your waistline. Think of the cutout as a “window” into the silhouette for your body!
The top covers your boobs completely, but I think it’s more classy and elegant to not go overboard and let ONE womanly asset really SHINE: your curves around your waist (hourglass body, anyone?)
I’ve linked a bunch of monokinis with cutouts here for sale and under $75, so you all can shop for good-quality suits for a better deal. I don’t have the link for this exact suit, but I shopped around for similar ones below:
Shop Athletic-Cut Bikinis
Believe it or not, athletic bikini’s are a win-win to show off your top or bottom. The tops usually support your boobs like a sports bra would, which in turn gives them a slight and natural push up. Unlike triangle bikini tops which go up towards the neck and cover too much, athletic bikini’s have material that don’t travel much further than the top of your boobs. This leaves room to show a tiny bit of cleavage at the top.
In the athletic-cut bikini top I chose, there is a mix of both trendy and sporty chic vibes. The middle of the top is also cut out and pieced together with three nautical-like rope strings. This further enhances the “curves” of my boobs and even though there’s not MUCH there, at least I don’t look like a flat-chested boy or girl. 🙂
Halter tops are another good alternative as they really support your boobs and give them the lift they need. Below, I’ve linked a bunch of athletic-cut bikini’s under $100 so you can shop before the summer’s over!
Happy shopping and enjoy the rest of the summer!
