So, I kind of went on a shopping spree at Lord & Taylor last Friday in the DesignLab section, and decided to wear a new look while strolling through Central Park. I don’t usually like to put up my hair, so it’s down in this picture – but I think the dress and shoes really bring out the essence of the Modern Pin-Up Look. (Maybe next time I’ll look around for an IG hair stylist to give me an up-do- let me know if you know of anyone) I’m pictured here with the smoothie that kept me alive during the photoshoot. Go, fruit.

This is not an accurate depiction of the color, but I had to play around with the editing, well, because, that’s what I do. It was such a beautiful, hot summer day. I tried to enjoy it as much as possible, despite the nasty shower that my face was taking with my beaded, dripping sweat (ew!)

I know that layering necklaces is a new trend, so I tried doing that for the first time, and it actually gave a cute and simplistic touch to the pattern on the dress. I paired together a brass-colored heart necklace, along with a much longer layered gold geometric necklace.

LOOK AT THE CUTE DUCKIES in the background! I love these suede shoes. They have a chunky heel so they give off a retro vibe and are extremely comfortable. The blue really pops out as if it’s begging for attention.

So, the moment you’ve been waiting for… Where I got my stuff. Unfortunately, the shoes and accessories are M.I.A. from stores, but I can point you towards where you can get similar finds. On a positive note, I just bought the dress 2 days ago, and it was on sale. So, go get her, tigers!
