New York Fashion Week 2017

Hey Ya’ll. I’ve been posting a lot about the past New York Fashion Week lately, and I’m finally here with the recap. (To see what I wore, you can find my previous two New York Fashion Week 2017 outfit posts HERE and HERE).

Looking back at this past season, this was by far the best and busiest I have ever been to. Luckily, this season, I felt more prepared. I actually put some short videos together that I was able to capture pre-Season and during the shows. Click HERE to enjoy the clips! (don’t forget to comment, like and subscribe.) 🙂

Patterned Textures and A New Puppy!

Hello hello!

Good evening ya’ll. Sorry for missing my Sunday evening post, but I was too busy getting my first puppy on Friday and taking care of my baby! He’s a Havanese 3-month old baby. He’s a big boy. His name is Einstein, named after the way his white hair looks like if it were to be shocked by electricity and from the general intelligence of Havanese dogs.
Through the midst of taking care of Einstein, I was able to make it back to my old city, Jersey City, and hang out with a fellow blogger. We took some sick pictures along some streets with crazy graffiti and this is what we got:

Modern Pin-Up Look

The Smoothie That Kept Me Alive

So, I kind of went on a shopping spree at Lord & Taylor last Friday in the DesignLab section, and decided to wear a new look while strolling through Central Park. I don’t usually like to put up my hair, so it’s down in this picture – but I think the dress and shoes really bring out the essence of the Modern Pin-Up Look. (Maybe next time I’ll look around for an IG hair stylist to give me an up-do- let me know if you know of anyone) I’m pictured here with the smoothie that kept me alive during the photoshoot. Go, fruit.

This is not an accurate depiction of the color, but I had to play around with the editing, well, because, that’s what I do. It was such a beautiful, hot summer day. I tried to enjoy it as much as possible, despite the nasty shower that my face was taking with my beaded, dripping sweat (ew!)

Because I Learned How to Catwalk in College

I mean, I actually kinda did learn how to catwalk. I auditioned to be a “runway model” at NYU for my senior year…but of course, I stumbled during my auditions during this really complicated pivot…fail. Wound up I got called back to be a performer at the show, right next to the famous Korean rapper Dumbfoundead.  I performed two songs, he performed two songs. I totally thought this was a better route, don’t cha think?  You can see my performance here and here on my Youtube – I honored Amy Winehouse and Queen B. So yeah, pictured above is basically my lesson learned. hah!

Um, do you see the drop below and how close I am to the edge? I highly suggest not taking photographs on illegal ledges, but I am a daredevil apparently. Some elderly man even warned the photographer that cops were going around yelling at people to get off the ledge (I did not listen).

Charmin’ it Up With Charming Charlie

Charming Charlie

Here I am charmin’ it up with one of the trendiest fashion jewelry stores around: Charming Charlie on 5th Avenue. This specific spot is fairly new – it opened up right by my office, and when the construction was finally done, I had to make my way into this magical land. This two-floored store merchandises their product by theme, color, type of jewelry, any other category…you name it. I was in absolute awe my first stop through the doors. There was so much beauty to my eyes, I couldn’t believe it. Kudos to the visual merchandisers! I nearly bought over $100 worth of products within 20 minutes and their jewelry is only $5-$15 a piece! They also sell affordable and fashion-right shoes and dresses.

Dress: H&M ( so many dresses on sale right now. Get them while they’re in stock!)

Shoes: Steve Madden Wedges

Chanel Wallet

Chanel Wallet

I decided my bag didn’t match today with my outfit, so I brought out my good old red Chanel quilted lambskin wallet. This was my first Chanel purchase ever that initiated my endless addiction with the brand. And I mean, endless. If you ever run into me in NYC, it’ll most likely be on 5th Ave, shopping.

Wallet: Chanel (purchased her from an amazing secondhand vintage site for a steal!)

(On left hand): Two-tiered Gold Bracelet from H&M

(On right hand): Alex and Ani Lotus Bracelet

Ring: BCBG Maxazria (they have adorable rings)
